Outdoor video surveillance of an airport is a major challenge due to low-light limitations. Low light can negatively impact the recognition of airplanes and people. Due to multiple gates at an airport, it can be difficult to properly monitor all areas. Transmitting IP camera data to the control center is challenging because of the large distances in an airport. To address these challenges, Navijin provides networking devices with fiber ports to achieve long-distance transmission and IP cameras. With IEEE802.3af/at networking devices can power up to 30W.
Navijin products support Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) which is used in Ring topologies to avoid single points of failure by providing a recovery time in milliseconds. Products are suitable for harsh environment and designed in industrial grade and support -40~75°C wide operating temperature.
